SUPPORT DUTERTE’s DRUGS WAR

SUPPORT  DUTERTE’s  WAR AGAINS DRUGS

Aug 20, 2017 @ 13:34 Enough is enough. Former Presidential Spokeman Edwin Lacierda has appealed to the public not to support President Duterte’s ruthless war on drugs and instead condemn the violence. “When one supports his war on drugs when violence is all it is, you tolerate murder. Stop the support, period. Condemn the violence, period!” Lacierda wrote on Facebook amid outrage over the killing of a 17-year-old high student during a police raid in Caloocan City. Lacierda also crafted a poem seeking justice for Kian Loyd Delos Santos, the latest victim in Duterte’s bloody drug war, based on the “First they came…” poem writen by German Lutheran pastor Martin Niemöller who spoke against Nazi leader Adolf Hitler’s atrocities. “#JusticeForKian. First, they came for the so-called drug pushers but I did not speak out because I was not a drug pusher Then they came for the alleged drug users but I did not speak out because I was not a drug user; In fact, I praised them for ridding the community of miscreants,” he said. “Then they came for Mayor Rolando Espinosa but because I was not a politician, I did not speak out; Then they came for Jee Ick-Joo but because I was not a Korean, I did not speak out,” he said. “And like a politician, I supported the war on drugs but of the violence I did not speak out; Then they came for the many faceless Filipinos, their brutal deaths shown every night and still, I did not speak out.” “Then they came for Kian Lloyd de los Santos, an innocent 17-year old lad who never touched drugs, but still, I did not speak out; If and when it is my turn and they come for me, who will speak for me?”
